The overhead view of the Expo
The much-anticipated inaugural ParGolf International Travel & Lifestyle Expo (PITLE) 2024, which took place from 15-17 November at the Centre Concourse of Tropicana Gardens Mall, offered a dynamic platform for the golf industry to connect with golfers, enthusiasts, and visitors.
This premier event, supported by Tourism Malaysia and the Tourism Authority of Thailand and in partnership with the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, brought together leading golf clubs from across the country and exciting lifestyle brands.
The three-day event featured an impressive lineup of exhibitors, including top golf clubs and lifestyle brands. The clubs promoted their “golf stay & play” packages and successfully sold exclusive green fee deals to visitors at the expo and online. Attendees also explored exclusive deals on golf travel packages, club memberships, and a wide range of lifestyle offerings tailored to golf enthusiasts.

More than 15 exhibitors showcased their offerings, including some of Malaysia’s premier golf courses, including Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, Impian Golf & Country Club, Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club, Meru Valley Resort, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Senibong Golf Club, The Els Club Teluk Datai, and The Els Club Desaru Coast.
Other exhibitors included OHSOM TV, the associate partner of ParGolf, Golftripz, Kintry Sdn Bhd, OsteoCare Bone Setting, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Marvel Distribution Sdn Bhd, Professional Golfers Association of Malaysia (PGAM), Sompoton Spa Wellness Retreat, SLV Group Sdn Bhd, Vivo Malaysia, LEO Club Subang Jaya Alumni, Sportexcel and Write Track Publishing & Communications Sdn Bhd each offering unique products and services catering to golfers and non-golfers.
ParGolf collaborated with the LEO Club Subang Jaya Alumni to support junior golf development by offering delicious Paus for sale at the expo, with all proceeds benefitting Sportexcel’s junior development programs. It was a successful endeavour.
Throughout the event, visitors were treated to daily activities, including lucky draws with enticing prizes such as golf greens vouchers, a golf set and more. The Putt Putt Challenge and the Aim and Chip Challenge offered everyone the chance to test their chipping and putting skills.
Many visitors to the expo snapped photos of themselves at the designated photo booth and posted them on social media with the relevant hashtags for the chance of winning a return flight ticket from KL to Bangkok, among other fantastic prizes.
In addition to the fun and games, there were several insightful talks throughout the event, including sessions on introducing children to golf by Sportexcel and sports scholarship opportunities for those interested in studying and playing golf in the U.S. or locally. Rookie pro Liyana Durisic and her brother Danial provided helpful information to the present audience.
The Professional Golfers Association of Malaysia’s (PGAM) Aaron Ng also conducted sessions on how to start golfing with an investment as low as RM1,500, along with guidance on finding a qualified teaching pro to elevate your game. Additionally, professional golfer and coach Koi Lai Yin presented an interesting discussion exploring how golf instils valuable life skills for all ages and how parents can support young athletes in pursuing their dreams, touching on mental golf as well.

Professional golfers Gavin Green and C.M. Chong delighted visitors at the expo on Saturday, drawing enthusiastic crowds eager for photographs and autographs. During their appearance, they hinted at an exciting new event—a Ryder Cup-style competition exclusively for local professionals, featuring Team Gavin and Team Danny in the Albatross Cup. Chong is the non-playing vice-captain of Team Danny
