Paul San triumphed at the PGM Melaka Closed Championship 2025 with a brilliant thirteen-under-par (-13) performance at Tiara Melaka Golf & Country Club. His final round featured an eagle, three birdies, and two bogeys, sealing a long-awaited victory.
Reflecting on the win, Paul said, “It has been a long struggle to be on the podium and this win will boost my confidence for the next events.” His last victory came at Palm Resort Golf & Country Club in August 2024, and he will now look ahead to several back-to-back ADT events in the coming weeks.
Finishing in second place was Daeng Abdul Rahman with a flawless ten-under-par (-10) round, highlighted by two eagles and two birdies. Shariffuddin Ariffin secured third with a steady nine-under-par (-9), carding six birdies against two bogeys.
In the Ladies Championship, Jocelyn Chee sealed victory with a superb twelve-under-par (-12), playing a bogey-free round that included one eagle and four birdies. Rising star Ng Jing Xuen claimed the runner-up spot at five-under-par (-5), while the day’s lowest score belonged to Aretha Pan, whose eight-under-par (-8) charge lifted her into third place.
The PGM Melaka Closed Championship 2025 offered RM180,000 in prize money, with an additional RM30,000 dedicated to the Ladies Championship. The tournament was played at Tiara Melaka Golf & Country Club, played across the Meadow and Woodland courses, spanning 7,119 yards (par 72).
