Peninsula partners with the 2023 Solheim Cup

Peninsula, the leading global independent supplier of marine energy, has signed a sustainability partner sponsorship agreement with the Solheim Cup, a biennial, transatlantic team match-play competition featuring the 12 best golfers from both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA.

With a global physical supply network and customer book comprising the world’s biggest shipping companies, Peninsula is a key player in the decarbonisation of the maritime industry. The company is excited to support the Solheim Cup’s sustainability activity and to develop fresh goals together in the coming months.

This September, the Solheim Cup travels to Spain for the first time and will be played at Finca Cortesin, in Andalucía.

The event is undoubtedly the most coveted trophy in women’s professional golf and this year’s European team claim is #VAMOSGIRLS, a slogan that incorporates the Spanish language, honouring the host country.
