PGM Tour kicks off 2025 season with Seri Selangor Championship and calendar launch

The Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) kicked off its 2025 season with the PGM Seri Selangor Championship, held at Kelab Golf Seri Selangor from February 25 to 27, featuring a competitive field of 87 players.

Following the conclusion of the PGM Seri Selangor Championship, the 2025 PGM Tour Calendar was officially launched at the club. The upcoming season will feature nine tournaments for the men and ten for the ladies. A highlight of the calendar is a major ladies’ tournament in August 2025, sponsored and hosted by The Mines Resort & Golf Club. This event will offer a prize purse of RM300,000 and will be open to both professional and amateur Malaysian lady golfers.

The 2025 PGM Tour will be hosted at various venues, including Kelab Golf Seri Selangor, Kota Seriemas Golf & Country Club, Saujana Golf & Country Club, Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam, Bukit Jawi Golf Resort, Royal Pekan Golf Club, Royal Pahang Golf Club, The Mines Resort & Golf Club, Port Dickson Golf & Country Club, Kelab Rahman Putera Malaysia, and Palms Resort Golf & Country Club.

The PGM Tour continues its collaboration with the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) to nurture talented amateur players by offering them playing opportunities in PGM-organized tournaments. Notably, some amateur players hold PGM Tour cards, granting them eligibility to compete in these events.

The Sports Commissioner of Malaysia has extended the license for the 2025 PGM Tour, with all tournaments officially sanctioned by the Malaysian Golf Association. Additionally, the Asian Tour remains a key partner, providing PGM Tour players with opportunities to compete in both local and international ADT and Asian Tour events. Marking its fifteenth year in 2025, the Professional Golf of Malaysia remains committed to developing professional golf through the PGM Tour.
