As Selangor is expected to host many more upcoming golf tournaments and championships, the state government through Tourism Selangor is committed to explore opportunities and further leverage on sports and golf tourism which play a key role in fuelling the economy through domestic tourism. This will benefit the golf industry as well as retail, accommodation, hospitality and transportation providers. For the safety and health of everyone involved, it is mandatory for organizers to strictly comply with the SOPs set by the National Security Council and the Ministry of Health.

With 29 golf clubs across Selangor, the highest number in the country, the state is truly well-placed as the leading golf hub in Malaysia. The buzz created from golf events will also draw tourists’ attention to nearby attractions such as Taman Eko Rimba Kanching and Taman Eko Rimba Komanwel which are both located close to Bukit Beruntung Golf Club.  This is in line with Tourism Selangor’s highly-successful domestic tourism promotional campaign, ‘Pusing Selangor Dulu’, which is growing in popularity among domestic travellers. The #PusingSelangorDulu hashtag has bene used more than 22 million times since the campaign’s official launch in December 2020.
