Shahriffuddin Ariffin charged the finishing holes with an eagle and birdie finish to win the PGM Maybank Championship earning RM21,000 for his efforts. He posted rounds of 70-71-66 for a nine-under total 0f 207. Daeng Abdul Rahman took the runner up spot on 6-under total of 210. Nicholas Fung and Galven Green was tied on third place on total four-under 212.
Out of the 11 ladies that participated in the event, only three made the cut. Two of three were amateurs while Aretha Pan the only lady pro to make it pass the cut line.
Amateur golfer Mirabel Ting wins in the woman’s category
Amateur golfer Mirabel Ting won the PGM Ladies Championship with a total score of one under par (-1). Aretha Pan took home RM7, 000 prize money at one over par (+1). Ng Jing Xuen, the other amateur, finished third.
The RM120,000 PGM Maybank Championship was played at the Palm Course of the Saujana Golf & Country Club.
