Saujana Golf & Country Club played host to the Tun Ahmad Sarji Trophy Charity Pro-Am, an event held in honour of the late Tun Ahmad Sarji bin Abdul Hamid, the founding Chairman of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour, who passed away in 2021. The tournament brought together professional and amateur golfers in a friendly yet competitive spirit, with proceeds benefiting a charitable cause.
Emerging as the winning team was Shapadu Corporation Sdn Bhd, who played alongside professional golfer Irfan Syahmi. The team’s amateur players — Norhizam, Roslan, and Zaily — contributed to a strong performance that secured them first place.

The runner-up team
Taking second place was the team representing Tenaga Nasional Berhad, playing with Pro Shahriffuddin Ariffin. Their amateur lineup included Ir. Andul Aziz Ahmad, Muhammad Azammi, and Abdul Malek, who demonstrated solid teamwork throughout the event.
In third place was Saujana Golf & Country Club’s own team, led by Pro Shaifubari Muda. The amateur players — Patrick Wong, Wong Jay Lyn, and Paudzai Ishak — delivered a commendable effort to round off the top three.

The event’s primary purpose was to honour the legacy of the late Tun Ahmad Sarji and continue his commitment to community and sportsmanship. In tribute, funds raised during the tournament were donated to Pusat Pengajian Al-Quran. Encik Ariff Tuah Ahmad Sarji, representing the family, presented a mock cheque of RM20,000.00 to the centre’s Chairman, Dato’ Sulaiman Osman.
PGM extended its sincere gratitude to the many companies and golf clubs that generously contributed green fee vouchers, golfing items, and other prizes for the lucky draw.
The success of the event was made possible by the invaluable participation of sponsors, professional and amateur players, tournament officials, and the dedicated support staff of Saujana Golf & Country Club.
Looking ahead, PGM announced its intention to make the Tun Ahmad Sarji Trophy Charity Pro-Am an annual affair. With sights set on the 2026 edition, the organisation looks forward to continued support from corporations and golf clubs alike in keeping the late Tun Ahmad Sarji’s legacy alive through sport and charitable giving.
