The Singapore Golf Association (SGA) has released a Safe Management Plan with detailed guidelines for golf clubs and academies to guard against Covid-19. Golf along with other outdoor sports are allowed to resume in the island state from today as Phase 2 of the reopening of the economy kicks in.
In a communique released yesterday, which included an illustrated summary of the guidelines, the SGA noted:
“As golf courses reopen on Friday 19th June 2020, let’s all do our part in keeping each other safe while enjoying the game we love.
“The summarised guidelines illustrated, as well as all safe distancing measures and hygiene protocols stated in the SGA Safe Management Plans, are strictly for Phase 2. All golfers are also required to adhere to any additional or specific requirements put in place by the respective clubs and facilities.”
The detailed guidelines cover all aspects of private and public golf club operations, including F&B outlets, sports facilities and internal SOPs. There is a separate set of guidelines for golf academies located at golf clubs or public golf facilities.
