Trust Golf has in recent years, taken an active role in growing the game of golf with its sponsorship of the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open, the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Series jointly held by the Asian Tour and Ladies European Tour (LET), the Trust Golf Links Series, which is part of the LET’s Access Series, and now it’s first foray into the international junior ranks with the Trust Golf Singapore Junior Masters Driven by CarTimes Group.

“We are proud to welcome Trust Golf as our new title sponsor as the Singapore Junior Masters take the next leap developing into a world-class junior golf event,” said Lyn Yeo, founder of the Singapore Junior Masters.

“Despite the challenges of putting together the first international junior golf event in Singapore, we were able to produce two highly competitive tournaments to aid in the development of the junior golfers who participated, regardless of who or where they come from, and now, with Trust Golf, we are primed to become even bigger and better,” said Yeo.

Led by Dr Prin Singhanart, Trust Golf believes in developing homegrown talent through the support of key events around the world, a vision that is shared by Yeo.

“Lyn Yeo is our trusted partner in Singapore. The Singapore Junior Masters and her series of tournaments throughout the year creates the pathway for young and elite players to pursue their dreams. Trust Golf is proud to be this year’s title sponsor helping to inspire the next generation of champions in this region,” said the Trust Golf founder.

Leading the charge of the top juniors from 13 nations taking part in this year’s edition is the addition of 15-year-old Ratchanon Chantananuwat, who is currently ranked 11th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

TK, as he is commonly known, became the youngest player to ever win on a major tour when he won the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Series.

Also in the field is Malaysia’s Ng Jing Xuen who recently won the Perak Amateur Open and currently ranked #336 on the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Host Laguna National Golf Resort Club is no stranger to world class championship golf, and will host The Singapore Classic, a DP World Tour event next February. It is primed to welcome back the region’s top juniors after successfully staging the Singapore Junior Masters for the past two years.

“With the addition of Trust Golf as a sponsor for the Singapore Junior Masters, we have on board another great partner with a common goal and passion for growing the game of golf in the region. The interest in the Singapore Junior Masters has really taken off and this is the first time we have more foreign top amateurs participating in this event,” said Kevin Kwee, executive director of Laguna National Golf Resort Club.

The potential to produce future world class players is fundamental to the 36-hole luxury golf resort’s support of this event and Yeo acknowledges the long-term commitment that has been offered by Laguna National even in challenging times.

“I cannot commend enough Laguna National’s support of the Singapore Junior Masters and junior development as a whole in Singapore. Kevin and his team have unconditionally provided the resources necessary to make this into an event that is widely recognised around the region,” said Yeo.

“Today, with the progress of our players, we have passed the stage where they are only out there to gain experience. They must have the mindset to win,” she continued.
