The Moutai Singapore Open is set to make its highly anticipated return from 6 to 9 November 2025, bringing new energy to one of Asia’s most storied golf tournaments. The tournament will be played at The Singapore Island Country Club (SICC), where the event first teed off in 1961.
Now part of the Asian Tour’s elite International Series and co-sanctioned by the Singapore Golf Association, the tournament carries a prize purse of US$2 million and promises a showcase of elite talent, featuring top Asian Tour players, stars from the LIV Golf League, and Singapore’s finest.
This year also marks the debut of Kweichow Moutai as title sponsor, aligning the tournament’s rich legacy with one of the world’s most prestigious brands. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to heritage, excellence, and international appeal.
“The Singapore Open has long been one of the most iconic events on the Asian Tour calendar, and we are thrilled to see it return with renewed purpose and global appeal,” said Cho Minn Thant, Commissioner & CEO of the Asian Tour.
This sentiment was echoed by the spokesperson from Kweichow Moutai, who noted their pride in supporting an event that so seamlessly reflects the brand’s values.
Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, added that the Moutai Singapore Open’s return to the heart of Southeast Asian golf marks another important milestone in expanding the game’s global footprint and development.

Among those returning to the fairways is Sadom Kaewkanjana, the Thai talent who claimed the last Singapore Open title in 2022. Since then, Sadom’s trajectory has continued skyward, both professionally and personally – including a brief stint in monkhood. His victory at this year’s Kolon Korea Open earned him a place at The Open Championship, where he made waves with an opening 68. Sadom currently sits third on the Asian Tour Order of Merit and will be one to watch at SICC.
The tournament also shines a spotlight on Singapore’s best, with 10 local players – a mix of top professionals and promising amateurs – teeing it up against a world-class field. These homegrown talents were selected through merit rankings and national nominations, including Harry Takis, the 2025 Singapore Open Amateur Championship winner.
For the amateurs, the event provides vital competition ahead of the Southeast Asian Games in December, making this return even more significant for local development. SGA President Tan Chong Huat noted that the Singapore Open’s revival not only boosts elite performance but strengthens the city-state’s growing reputation as a premier golf destination, alongside other marquee events like the HSBC Women’s World Championship and LIV Golf.
Fans can also look forward to the return of the ‘Beat the Pro’ challenge – an engaging par-3 experience that invites amateurs to test their skills against professionals during tournament week. Past editions saw young local stars rise to the occasion, and this year’s contest, held on one of The New Course’s signature par-3s, promises more memorable encounters between fans and the game.
For SICC, hosting the tournament is both a return and a renewal. “While the championship’s legacy with SICC began at our Bukit Course in 1961, this exciting new chapter reaffirms our long-standing partnership with one of Asia’s most prestigious tournaments,” said Ian Roberts, General Manager of The Singapore Island Country Club. The event will be held on The New Course (Millennium & Peirce), with world-class conditions designed to challenge players and thrill spectators.
Beyond the ropes, the Moutai Singapore Open aims to become a celebration of sport, culture, and community. A full calendar of public activations and lifestyle events will bring the tournament spirit into the heart of Singapore, engaging fans of all ages. “We want this tournament to be accessible and memorable – not just for golf lovers, but for everyone,” said Cho.
Admission to the Moutai Singapore Open is free, and details on registration and fan experiences will be announced soon.
