The 39th edition of the ASEAN–Templer Park Country Club Malaysian Ladies Amateur Open Championship will be held at the Templer Park Country Club (TPCC) from July 28 to 31, 2025. Organised by the Malaysian Ladies Golf Association (MALGA), the championship is the country’s premier women’s amateur golf tournament, recognised with a C-rating on the R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
This year’s event carries added significance as it forms part of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025. The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), through Perbadanan Padang Golf Subang (PPGS), is partnering with MALGA to co-organise the championship, marking a collaborative milestone in promoting regional sporting excellence.
TPCC, the host and strategic partner for this edition, has long supported the development of amateur golf, especially among women. However, this year also marks the end of TPCC’s sponsorship of the event, as they will not be renewing their support for the 2026 edition.

Tunku Puteri Jawahir, the President of MALGA
Speaking at the press conference, MALGA President Tunku Puteri Jawahir expressed pride that the Malaysian Ladies Amateur Open was selected as part of Malaysia’s ASEAN 2025 sports initiatives.
The championship reflects the strategic goals of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship to elevate athlete performance, promote regional integration through sport, and develop emerging talent across ASEAN.
Participants of the championship will compete for four trophies across four categories. The DYMM Tunku Ampuan Negeri Sembilan Trophy will be awarded to the champion of the Open Division, while the Y.A.M. Tunku Tun Maimunah Trophy will be contested in the Mid-Amateur Division. The Maria Musa Trophy will be awarded in the Senior Division. In addition to the individual categories, teams will compete for the Mary Williams Trophy in the Team Event.
Eight ASEAN countries have confirmed their participation namely Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, alongside several non-ASEAN entries from China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, and South Korea.
Malaysia will be represented by a promising lineup, including Wang Xin Yao, fresh off her win at the Singapore Amateur Open, as well as national contenders Pang Hee Jie and Foong Zi Yu.
