ECCO in collaboration with Leonian (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor in South East Asia (SEA) recently held the fourth edition of the ECCO Tour Championship 2023 at the Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club, Johor.
Mr. Frankie Choo – Director of Leonian (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd said, “Every time we release the event information, the slots are gone within no-time. This year is the second time we are hosting it at Horizon Hills GCC and we even had a group of customers from Singapore. We had a full field of 128 participants again and as previous editions, each participant received a pair of ECCO Golf shoes as part of their goody bag when they registered.”
Choo added, “We have been the exclusive distributor for ECCO Golf slightly more than a decade now, and over the years, since 2012 we have worked to grow the brand and create awareness amongst golfers in South East Asia.”
Despite the unfavourable weather conditions, the tournament commenced punctually. While the participants remained undeterred by the light drizzle, the persistent rain eventually forced the competition to be called off. All prizes were given out as lucky draw prizes to participants.
There were no takers for the holes-in-one prizes which included included a Callaway Paradym Driver (valued at RM3,999), a Fourteen TC 7 Iron Set (valued at RM5,888), and two Par 3 holes offering ECCO vouchers worth RM5,000 each.
To compensate for the interrupted game, Horizon Hills GCC extended a generous gesture by providing complimentary green fee vouchers to all participants as a gesture of goodwill for not being able to finish the full 18 holes. Furthermore, Leonian Malaysia went above and beyond to enhance the day for devoted ECCO supporters by augmenting the lucky draw rewards to a total of 131 prizes. This included one lucky draw prize for each participant, along with a couple of bonus grand lucky prizes, allowing all fortunate winners another chance in the grand draw.
The grand lucky draw prize – a latest Callaway Paradym driver worth RM3,999 went to Dr Balakrishnan. There were also six other lucky winners of the latest limited release ECCO BIOM golf shoes. Basically, everyone walked home with a prize in hand.
