The Malaysian market was recently introduced to the new Nexgen EI-F NS210 shaft by Golf Partner Malaysia. This particular shaft is exclusively accessible at Golf Partner outlets and the Performance Centre at Golf Partner’s driving range in Kota Permai GCC. Tailored for distance seekers, the “EI-F” shaft is engineered to endure both a heavier balance setting and a longer club setting, while remaining responsive to the golfer’s swing tempo for enhanced control.
To create a shaft that can withstand the “weight” and “length”, the traditional kick-point section is designed to be stiff. However, this approach alone would not differentiate it from the conventional stiff shafts. Therefore, the Nexgen “EI-F” shaft employs a unique stiffness distribution design, allowing even amateur golfers to utilise the flex of the shaft. In the latest release, the Nexgen “EI-F NS210” shaft, improvements had been made over the previous version to enhance the ease of swinging while maintaining impact power and upgrading both distance performance and directional stability.
The motivation for creating the Nexgen “EI-F” shaft stemmed from the goal of restoring previous distances for golfers experiencing a decline in clubhead speed, particularly those with a speed of 35m/s or lower. Addressing the decreasing shot distances over time, the objective was to preserve the club’s power while facilitating an effortless swing to recapture their former distances. This pursuit led to the design of a shaft capable of generating a significant backswing and delivering a robust kick-back at the impact zone.
In the development of the “EI-F” shaft, the goal was to achieve this through a unique stiffness distribution without being bound by the conventional concept of a “single flex” such as “Regular” or “Stiff.” Numerous test samples were created and test were repeated until Nexgen arrived at the final product. A unique distribution of hardness generates huge power in the backswing and transmits power through a kick that rebound strongly after flexing. This original design goes beyond the conventional concept of high, medium and low kick points, using the flex of amateur shafts to achieve both power & speed.
