The swinging success of The 6th Srixon Cup

The 6th edition of The Srixon Cup took place at the Kota Permai Golf & Country Club (KPGCC), returning to the successful venue after last year’s accomplishment. A total of 124 participants, including invited media, eagerly gathered at the club, welcomed by the event team from Leonian Malaysia and the management of Dunlop Srixon Sports Asia (DSSA).

Expressing gratitude, Mr. Frankie Choo, Director of Leonian Malaysia Sdn Bhd, stated, “We at Leonian Malaysia are truly honoured to be managing the much sought-after Srixon Cup for the sixth time.” He acknowledged the continued support from DSSA, emphasising their belief and trust in delivering a successful event. Each participant received a Srixon golf cart bag, along with other items, reflecting the organisers’ commitment to enhancing the overall experience.

The event featured Hole-In-One prizes, including a Srixon ZX5 MK2 Iron set and an IROAS Areporos Watch, as well as main prizes for the winners based on the Stableford System 36 format.

A Medal champion Mohd Pizul

In the A Medal category, Mohd Pizul (12) secured the champion’s title with 40 Stableford points, earning him RM1,000 worth of Leonian cash vouchers. Anushka Gayan (8) claimed the second spot on countback with 39 points, edging out Baharuddin Bin Othman (11). Both Anushka Gayan and Baharuddin Bin Othman received Leonian cash vouchers valued at RM800 and RM600, respectively. Dato’ Rosin Mohd Yusup (7) secured the fourth position with 38 points on countback, surpassing Muhammad Firdaus Md Said (7). Dato’ Rosdin took home Leonian cash vouchers worth RM400, while Muhammad Firdaus received cash vouchers worth RM200.

The B Medal champion Ricky Chin

The B Medal category winners enjoyed similar rewards to their A Medal counterpart. Ricky Chin (19), a steadfast supporter of the Srixon Cup, claimed the B Medal championship with 37 points on countback, narrowly beating Khairol Azmie Embong (19). Abdul Latif (19) secured the third position with 36 countback points from Jesunathan (19).

Kamaruddin Bin Alias clinched the Grand Lucky Draw prize—a Srixon ZX5 MK2 Iron set valued at RM5,700

The highlight of the day was the four Grand Lucky Draw prizes, open to all including participants who had previously won other prizes. Mohd Yusree secured the initial stroke of luck, claiming RM1,000 worth of Leonian cash vouchers. Following suit, Wan Suhaimi Wan Ismail emerged as the next fortunate winner, securing the IROAS Aeroporos Watch valued at RM2,269, courtesy of ATG Watch. Adding to the excitement, Mr. Koay Kai Beng became the proud recipient of the Srixon ZX5 MK2 Driver, a prestigious prize worth RM2,990. His elation was palpable as his name was called just as he was preparing to leave. The highlight of the night, however, belonged to Kamaruddin Bin Alias, who joyfully clinched the top Grand Lucky Draw prize—a coveted Srixon ZX5 MK2 Iron set valued at an impressive RM5,700.
