The Tun Ahmad Sarji Trophy Charity Pro-Am was a success

The Tun Ahmad Sarji Trophy Pro-Am was held recently to honour PGM’s founding Chairman, the late Tun Ahmad Sarji bin Abdul Hamid, whose demise in 2021 was a great loss to the local fraternity.

The funds raised from the pro-am were donated to two organisations that were chosen by the family of the late Tun Ahmad Sarji. Encik Ariff Tuah Ahmad Sarji, representing the family, presented the cheques of RM20,000 each to Yayasan Pusat Pengajian Al-Quran and to the Tun Ahmad Sarji Research Endowment Fund (TASREF) of PICOMS.

 A total of 74 amateurs played alongside 25 professional golfers at the Saujana Golf & Country Club, Bunga Raya Course. 90 professional golfers including the country’s top golfers, Gavin Green, and Danny Chia, will tee-off on Wednesday morning for the four-day event which carries a prize purse of RM200,000.

Prizes to the pro-am winners were presented by the Tan Sri Dato’ Megat Zaharuddin Mohd Nor, President of Saujana Golf & Country Club and Tan Sri Dato’ Setia Mohd Anwar Hj. Mohd Nor, President of the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA). The winning team was from Media Group consisting of En. Ismadi Abdul Manap, En. Hazreen Mubarak, En. Yazid Mahat. The PGM professional golfer in the winning team was Mr. Low Khai Jei.
