Titleist is expanding its acclaimed GT metalwood lineup with the launch of the GT1 3Tour Fairway, a new model shaped directly by player feedback from the PGA Tour. This latest addition, which will be available in golf shops and through custom fitting beginning August 29, retains the easy-launch characteristics of the GT1 but introduces key refinements—most notably a stronger 14.5-degree loft and lower centre of gravity. The result is a fairway wood that offers more control, less spin, and a more aggressive flight, especially for players who thrive with a shallow profile.
Throughout the season, the GT1 3Tour has already gained traction on tour, appearing in the bags of Titleist ambassadors like Doug Ghim and Cameron Davis. According to JJ Van Wezenbeeck, Titleist’s Senior Director of Club Promotions, the 3Tour came about when tour players praised the original GT1’s face height and overall shape but needed a model that would bring spin rates down. In response, Principal Product Manager Tom Bennett and the R&D team designed a version that blends the GT1’s playability with stronger flight characteristics ideal for better players.
The new 3Tour features a Seamless Thermoform Crown, made from a proprietary matrix polymer, which allowed engineers to save weight and reposition mass for optimal performance. The redesigned internal hosel also contributed to these improvements, helping push the centre of gravity lower and forward. To fine-tune performance further, the GT1 3TOUR includes dual-position weighting, enabling players to adjust ball flight depending on their preferences.

The club is built in a standard configuration only, and will come equipped with the Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Blue shaft and the Titleist Universal 360 grip. With a head size of 180cc and an overall length of 43 inches, the GT1 3Tour delivers a tour-calibre blend of launch, stability, and workability that advanced players will appreciate.
Set to hit golf shops at the end of August, the GT1 3Tour Fairway is priced at SGD 549 in Singapore and MYR 1,799 in Malaysia. This is a club for players chasing stronger, more penetrating fairway shots—born from tour needs, built for precision.
