Since the official opening of the Golf Partner Driving Range in 2017 at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, the fitting centre has gone through various change in concept along with outsourced vendors as Transview Golf worked hard to find the best fit for golfers.
Finally, as a result of multiple brainstorming sessions and market research, the Transview Performance Laboratory was born just before the Movement Control Order (MCO) took effect in March 2020. It was revamped just in time for the Bandar Malaysia Open, serving the touring professionals during tournament week. A special preview of the newly launched Callaway Mavrik series marked a soft launch for dealers and the media, with Callaway being the Official Golf Equipment for the Asian Tour event.
Newly refurbished and given a brand-new layout, the Transview Performance Laboratory occupies 680 square feet and is divided into a compact fitting workshop and a state-of-the-art studio hitting bay for fitting purposes. Golfers can rest assured of excellent service and professionalism of the Transview team, led by clubfitter Amirul.
The laboratory is purposeful and fully fitted with all that is required for golfers to get their clubs custom-fitted or restored. Various leading shaft brands are available such as Daimana, Fujikura, Kurokage, Aldila and Basileus, along with grips such as Golf Pride and Elite. Grip replacement as well as loft and lie services are also available, along with the latest TrackMan launch monitor which provides instant and actionable feedback on club delivery, launch, ball flight and landing.
Transview Golf director Frankie Choo noted: “We had been approached by many brand owners and individuals who wished to take over our fitting centre. For the first few years, we did give it a try. After some internal brainstorming along with the Golf Partner team, we finally came to a decision to take over and manage it on our own … hence the birth of Performance Laboratory by Transview.
“On top of all the services that we have at our Performance Laboratory, we also have the latest Callaway Mavrik Demo kit set available at the studio bay for customers who wish to do a fitting with the latest Mavrik range of drivers. Private fitting sessions can be arranged via appointment with our golf specialist.”
The Transview Performance Laboratory is open daily from 12pm to 9pm.
