XXIO drivers have always enjoyed an excellent reputation for promoting easy swings and greater distance, along with an impact sound which the Japanese clubmaker terms as ‘exhilarating’. The 11th generation of the franchise takes these features to new levels and also introduces an all-new model in XXIO X, with ‘X’ here representing the alphabet ‘eks’.
Since it was introduced in the year 2000, the XXIO range has been the top seller in the Japanese market for 19 years running*. The 11th generation of the XXIO series is designed to fulfil the needs of a broader consumer profile, with the XXIO X -eks- catering for golfers who are still able to make full and solid swings but are looking for a driver that is easy to hit.

Technological Features
The technology applied to XXIO clubs goes beyond improving the repulsion performance of the clubhead. The franchise has evolved over the years through extensive R&D, particularly by examining golfers’ swings in order to help them generate more distance by maximising their power potential.
The 11th generation XXIO focuses on the ‘Top of the Swing’, resulting in the newly-developed Weight Plus Technology which helps golfers maintain the wrist cock while creating an ideal and highly stable ‘power position for greater distance’ – thus facilitating faster swing speeds and more accurate impacts.
During testing, about 70% of golfers said they could feel the difference when they waggled and about 80% noted the same when they swung the club. Average distance improved by four yards with the XXIO Eleven compared to the previous model.**
The XXIO Eleven inherits the same head shape and shot sound from the prior generation, while the XXIO X -eks- has a deep and straight face for easy address while generating a tighter shot sound.

Weight Plus Technology: this enables greater distance by helping golfers achieve the ideal top position by concentrating the weight of the club in the hands. This reduces the strength required to support the clubhead during the upswing.
By reducing the shaft weight and embedding a newly-developed silicon rubber bush into the grip end of the club, golfers are able to maintain the wrist cock more effortlessly from the start of the swing. This allows for a deeper backswing and more stable position at the top, attributable to the leverage principle.
High Repulsion Clubhead: The clubhead boasts the highest repulsion performance in the history of the XXIO franchise (within the conforming range). This is achieved with the Flat Cup Face design in both models with a thinner centre portion compared to previous models, expanding the high initial velocity area near the centre by 72% for the XXIO Eleven.
XXIO Eleven Features
The wide area of the sole and crown portions is thinner and lighter with the newly-developed Star Frame Structure, freeing up weight which is placed at the rear of the clubhead. This results in a higher moment of inertia and a larger sweet spot.

XXIO X -eks- Features
The carbon composite structure increases the moment of inertia by freeing weight through the use of a low specific gravity carbon material in the sole.
This freed weight is placed at the back, creating a larger sweet spot.
