Yamaha 2021 inpres UD+2 Series: Designed For Speed

inpres UD+2 Driver, Fairway Woods and Utilities
The latest inpres UD+2 driver, fairway woods and utilities have all been improved with the use of Yamaha’s new Speedbox structure.

The Speedbox structure on both the crown and sole consists of 1.5mm-deep box-shaped indentations placed along the face perimeter. This dramatically increases rigidity and minimises the energy-robbing diffusion of rearward head vibrations, thus resulting in more efficient energy transfer for faster ball speeds and greater distance.

The weight of the Speedbox structure also optimises the centre of gravity and increases the moment of inertia (MOI). This results in more forgiveness on shots across the face for tighter dispersion on mis-hits.

The clubs are pared with a Fujikura Air Speeder shaft made exclusively for the Yamaha UD+2 line.

inpres UD+2 Irons
Yamaha has taken their well-known and best-selling super game improvement distance irons to another level with the use of the revolutionary new Speed Ribface Technology.

Speed Ribface consists of five ribs configured behind the face, which work to create higher launch angles on shots across the face. The rib configuration reduces vertical deflection while maintaining overall deflection. This increases the impact angle by preventing distortion that would tilt the face forward, thereby resulting in a higher overall launch angle.

The Ultra-Thin Design sees both the face and sole of the UD+2 irons made even thinner than the previous generation, maximising deflection at impact to result in increased ball speeds and distance.

The irons are paired with the Yamaha-exclusive Air Speeder shaft by Fujikura as the graphite option and the NS Pro Zelos 7 shaft as the steel alternative.
