Edven Ying delivered a commanding performance at the PGM Port Dickson Closed Championship 2025, carding an eight-under-par (-8) to secure the title at Port Dickson Golf & Country Club.

Fresh from competing on the Thailand Tour, Edven’s sharp form and composure allowed him to navigate the tricky greens with precision. “The green was tricky this week and placing the ball close to the hole was the goal. I came here not to win, but winning this week is a bonus for me,” he said after lifting the trophy.

The victory marks his second win of the PGM Tour 2025 season, having also triumphed at the PGM Royal Pahang Closed Championship. With this win, Edven took home RM31,500 and will now return to the Thailand Tour to further sharpen his skills and mental strength.

It was a dramatic finish, with Ben Leong missing an eagle opportunity on the 18th hole, settling for par after a three-putt that denied him a playoff. Afif Fathi, who was in contention at eight-under after 16 holes, slipped with two late bogeys to finish tied at six-under alongside Ben Leong and Malcolm Ting.

Other highlights included Nor Haqeim Hadi, who emerged as Best Amateur with a three-under-par (-3) finish, and Kenneth De Silva, who had a hole-in-one on the par-3 13th during the final round.

In the PGM Ladies Championship, Liyana Durisic outplayed Zulaikah Nasser to clinch the title. Liyana carded six-under-par (-6) against Zulaikah’s three-under (-3), earning RM10,000 in prize money. She now sets her sights on the Thailand Ladies Tour next week.

Play was briefly disrupted due to adverse weather, with a three-hour suspension from 9:21 a.m. to 12:22 p.m.

The PGM Port Dickson Closed Championship 2025 offered a total prize purse of RM180,000, while the PGM Ladies Championship carried RM30,000.
