Japan’s Shot Navi laser range finder has been introduced to the Malaysian market, adding a new option for golfers seeking advanced distance-measuring and course navigation technology.

Shot Navi, recognised as Japan’s first GPS golf navigation system, has sold over 1.8 million units since its launch and is certified as a recommended product by the Japan Professional Golf Association. Developed by Tectite, the brand leverages advanced GPS/GIS and sensing technologies to deliver highly accurate positioning, enabling a more seamless playing experience.

The device combines distance measurement with course navigation functions and includes data from golf courses in Japan and around the world, offering added value to traditional play. As a core consumer brand, Shot Navi continues to expand globally, positioning itself as an innovator in golf technology.

Kevin Yeap, Head of Commercial at Leonian Malaysia, said, “Leonian Group is the official distributor of Shot Navi for South East Asia. To start off this brand here we have brought in the Shot Navi Voice Laser GR Leo & Shot Navi Rays model for the local market here to experience before further introducing a wider range of models that are available. Based on the concept of “improving your score & playing faster”, Shot Navi has expanded beyond being just a distance measuring device and is also focusing on developing products that visualise golf swings with data.”

Yeap added, “The Shot Navi Voice Laser GR Leo is a premium rangefinder that has a supple feel of the leather in your hands that blends seamlessly with the gleaming, high-quality components. This USB rechargeable range finder comes with high quality green & red OLED displays that provides for high visibility unaffected by weather changes or sunlight. The unit also boast of a 3D measurement and 0.1 second measurement speed the moment the button is pressed with a measurement range of 5-1000 yards. It also has a waterproof function that protects the device from splashes of water from any direction and from getting wet in light rain.”

The Shot Navi rangefinder will be available at selected Leonian Malaysia outlets nationwide, retailing from RM1,399 onwards.
