Malaysian Golf Association: Affiliated clubs can conduct course maintenance during the lockdown by applying for permit via CIMS

Malaysian Golf Association-affiliated golf clubs will be able to conduct course maintenance work during the ongoing ‘lockdown’ by applying for a permit using the Covid-19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) 3.0 of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).

In a circular sent out today, the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) noted:

“Further to our announcement dated 31st May 2021, we are pleased to inform that Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan (KPKT) has approved our appeal to allow MGA Affiliated Golf Clubs to conduct course maintenance during the Lockdown from 1-14 June 2021.

“Golf Clubs however are required to apply for the permit via CIMS at https://notification.miti.gov.my. Kindly log in and complete the details as required by CIMS. For those who have yet to register their Golf Clubs/Outsource company at CIMS, please do so immediately.

“The steps to the application for Golf Clubs/Outsource company in CIMS are as follows:

  1. Click on Borang Notifikasi and then click on Notifikasi Beroperasi from the drop down menu.
  2. Click on Daftar Notifikasi Baru located at the top right hand corner of the page
  3. Complete the details as required
  4. In the Economic Activity Cluster, please select Kerajaan Tempatan and in the Sector, please select Penyelenggaraan Kemudahan/Taman Rekreasi Awam dan Persendirian.
  5. In the Product/Business Activity, please type Golf Course Maintenance for inhouse maintenance and Outsource company for (Golf Club) for outsource maintenance.
  6. Complete the rest of the details as required.

“KPKT has recommended to complete the details of the inhouse and outsource maintenance separately. KPKT officer will verify the information they receive from CIMS with that of MGA’s list compiled yesterday, 2nd June 2021.
