Marcus Lim took the early lead after the opening round of the PGM Palm Resort Closed Championship 2025, carding a four-under-par 68 to sit one stroke ahead of Shariffuddin Ariffin and Edvin Ying. Lim posted six birdies against two bogeys.
Shariffuddin matched him in birdies with five but also recorded two bogeys, while Edvin Ying delivered a bogey-free round featuring three birdies.
Jaydon Pang, Nicholas Fung and Nor Heikal sit tied at two-under-par, while Gavin Green opened with an even-par round.

In the Ladies Championship, Winnie Ng returned a bogey-free four-under-par 68 to take a one-shot advantage over Liyana Durisic, with Aretha a further stroke back.
The PGM Palm Resort Closed Championship 2025 offers prize money of RM180,000 for the main event and RM30,000 for the Ladies Championship. The tournament is being played on the Allamanda Course (Par 72) at Palm Resort Golf & Country Club.
