MercedesTrophy 2025 tees off

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia announced the return of its 35th edition of MercedesTrophy.

The MercedesTrophy is a global amateur golf series, exclusively for Mercedes-Benz Malaysia customers who share a passion for the sport. With over 60,000 golfers from more than 60 countries participating each year, it remains one of the most prestigious and anticipated events on the annual calendar.

This year’s competition will feature four qualifying rounds, with the first taking place at the Tropicana Golf & Country Club on 27 May 2025. The winners of each round will then advance to the National Final, which will once again be held at the stunning The ELS Club Desaru Coast, Johor on 19 June 2025.

The MercedesTrophy 2025 features four distinct categories for participants based on their handicap levels. For male golfers, the competition is divided into three groups: Category A for those with handicaps between 0 and 12, Category B for players with handicaps from 13 to 20, and Category C for those ranging from 21 to 24. Meanwhile, female participants will compete in Category D, which is open to all with handicaps from 0 to 36.

The winners of each qualifying round will advance to the National Final on 19 June 2025, where the top three finalists in each category, based on the highest Stableford points, will qualify for the MercedesTrophy World Final. This event will take place from 28 September to 2 October 2025 in Stuttgart, Germany, the birthplace of Mercedes-Benz.

In celebration of precision and excellence, the first player to achieve a Hole-In-One on either of the two designated par-3 holes at each venue will be awarded the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line, valued at RM 379,888 (on the road without insurance).

Additionally, “Drive to the Major” is an exceptional competition unique to Mercedes-Benz, held worldwide. The finalist with the straightest drive or closest to the line at the MercedesTrophy National Final Malaysia will win a once-in-a-lifetime, all-expenses-paid experience at The Open 2025, taking place from 16th to 21st July 2025.
